I recently went on holiday from the UK to mainland Europe, and took
my Samsung Galaxy S4 running Android 5.0.1 on the EE network.

Before I went, I turned off Roaming Data, and also turned off Mobile Data
completely.

As I entered each country (France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany),
I still received texts from EE saying "From EE: Your device is trying to
connect to the internet. To get online abroad, choose a data add-on."

So my question is, if roaming data and mobile data are both turned off
(I checked again each time), why were these messages getting triggered?
