That's a shame. I do know some people had unresolved problems at work, 
but it didn't affect me.

Apparently, the 'new' outlook is a completely different application 
which MS bought and then skinned to make it look like Outlook.

Whether or not things will improve is anyone's guess. Mine will be that 
they won't.

I have no problems with the Android exchange connections in my newer 
Android 4.4x

You could have a look at see if cyanogen mod has newer version of 
Android available for your phone, but it will invalidate any warranty 
and may not come with the exchange software.
