  Perhaps you should NOT untick 'Show notifications'!

  I don't have any special settings and for me Facebook only *notifies*
(i.e. it needs 'Show notifications' to be ticked) me that/if there are
relevant posts, but does *not* start Facebook and (hence) does not
download any posts.

  Mind you that I'm an ultralight Facebook user. I only follow a few
close relatives and hardly ever post.

  But I fully agree with your subject line. 121 fscking MB for a
brain-dead app which can't be moved to the SD card!? Give me a break! My
main navigation app - i.e. something much, much more complex - is less
than half that!

  Apparently Facebook developers are tools which either don't have any
or don't know how to use them.

  Pffft! That feels *much* better! :-)
