I've never seen anyone using Bootcamp but I see tons of people running Win apps using Parallels. Seems like the best of both worlds to me - the OS X desktop but still ability to run whatever application your office has foisted on you. Wondering if all the fiddling with boot time parameters Microsoft has done recently hasn't had an effect on being able to boot other OSes? Imagine how much disk space you'd lose if you install both Mavericks and Win8.1 on your hardware.
