It's not a war until people insist on describing it using military terminology. Until then it remains a difference of opinion, with backers on each sides who respectively feel strongly about their choice, in a context of many competing distros and the right to fork. Users will vote with their feet, and FreeBSD is waiting for them right here ----> I don't see the need for such divisiveness and plan to make my choice when the dust settles. I'm not a huge fan of systemd but I'm also willing to see it prove itself, or a viable competitor emerge.
