I'm lucky: my corporate day-job computer is locked down pretty tight,
but they missed one loophole - I can run apps off of a USB drive.  I
picked up Sylpheed/GTK, PuTTY, and Thunderbird pendrive versions from
http://pendriveapps.com and I can participate via a halfway decent NTTP
client (not perfect, but hey, I'm at work).  I'd be out of luck if it
ever occured to them to check which ports are open on the router though.
