You're right, I got that switched around.

Where do you think you are, the Royal Society? A simple correction would
have been enough, but you chose to ignore four hints at uncertainty
("IIRC"; "could be mistaken"; didn't look it up; had wine) to
pontificate about scientific tradition. Get a life.
