I looked at JQuery once, it's effectively like learning a framework and 
I don't do that if I can possibly avoid it.

I was lurking on an IRC channel once and some herbert was complaining 
that he didn't really understand SQL ... the solution recommended by a 
channel admin? Use Hibernate. I remonstrated with the said admin that 
that was a *really stupid* suggestion and was promptly binned :-)
