I've finally completed compressing and uploading the rest of the talk videos 
(now including impromptu talks):

Videos are in h.264 720p30 with a rate of 1Mbit/s and 128kbit AAC sound. 
Modern browsers now can handle this with one or the other fiddling to work 
around the broken patent system ;-).

Strange - I checked the log file, and got 3 consecutive 400 errors on this 
page, but everybody else seems to get a 200.  Do you prevent cookies or 
something like that?  Do you have a provider side proxy?  Try https then.

(No problem here with out of the box Safari in Mavericks.)

Thank you Bernd for uploading these videos.

Would anyone object if I uploaded these videos to YouTube? I already have quite a number of Forth related videos on my channel on YouTube. It's a great way to promote Forth and get Forth "out there".

Appropriate attribution and descriptions will of course be given.

I've already Bernd's net2o presentation which was excellent, and Anton's region based memory allocation presentation. Both highly recommended, and it's nice to be able to put faces to names.

As I was only the cameraman, I have no copyright except of course in my own 
presentation; but as any presenter could have objected to be filmed, I take 
the fact that I could record a presentation as permission for publication.  
And that includes making copies elsewhere.  I want to have the videos on 
forth-ev.de, because there no silly "GEMA" censorship will happen (which 
matters in Germany ;-).

These videos are there to promote Forth, EuroForth and what the individuals 
do to a larger circle than the participants.

How odd. Without telling them what it is for?

Than it's worse than I thought.

I would show the courtesy to contact the presenters myself before 
copying this stuff. But that's just how we do it in my world.

No, there is a very obvious camera in the center of the stage, and I said at 
the beginning of the conference that I will put the stuff online.

German law also bases on "implied action".  That means you don't need all 
those legal documents as long as your implied actions are consistent.  This 
is a conference, and all participants know that the conference proceedings 
will be published.  People who hold talks do want to publish them.  This 
year we did video-tape for the first time, but it was very obvious for all 
participants that this was for publishing, too.

I see this videos as service for both the public and the presenters: If you 
did a presentation, watch your video, and figure out what and where to 
improve.

That sounds like a world where you can achieve nothing.

It's something different all together to be put on YouTube, without 
having a say in it!

Thanks for posting the videos :-) 
I watched Anton's and Nick's here on holiday in Spain - great stuff!
I will take a look at the rest ASAP...
