In those cases the 'user' won't be a forth programmer.  He/she will be running
an application whose input routine will be based on >FLOAT, NUMBER? etc.
which includes appropriate syntax checking.  Allowing a casual user access to
the forth text interpreter is very much "at your own risk" and something I would
avoid.
