without money return a lot of software is provided for free! to name a few openbsd freebsd linux dragonflybsd netbsd bash aolserver postgresql pidgin vlc icewm xorg

to name a few

take existing thing, aka code, and add value to it by improving it, x1000 others doing same = great software

sell your skills to those who want better more reliable solutions without vendor lockin

I wish some socialist country would offer really big far apart houses made from plastic blocks filled with concrete and show the captialist pigdog how the popualtion fo this socialist country is richer than you capitalist pigdog, but human nature and the cheating under communism/socialism/fascism (all same) always undermine the effort....and so socialist countries are quite poor, while pardozically, the freest capitalist nation usa is no1..

and is has been this way for decades

why aren't socialzits swept out with broom of rational votes and more unregualted progressive capitalism without restrictions spread I dont know.....
