Most of them are running on ARM now. You'd never know it though. They run a completely virtualised CPU where the CPU underneath is completely abstracted away. This allows the CPU to be changed at any time, but that's not the main reason. It's means the application code is running on a virtual CPU which can be monitored (against it going wrong) quite easily.
