Very informative, thanks. The clear reminders from Apprentice Alf
&co of the acceptable limits of (legal?) usage were noted, but
these do not affect my normal behaviour. 

I looked for my copy of "Learning Programming with MyCo:
Learning Programming easily - independent of a PC", gave up, then
looked into my Amazon account.  

Because I have not "setup an approved device", this book cannot
be downloaded.  Whether my Kobo or older eReader are approved I
do not yet know.

It also cannot be viewed in a browser because "You have selected
content that is not compatible with MR's Kindle Cloud Reader" 

To resolve this problem there are two links in this message: "Buy
a compatible device" and "free Kindle reading app".  

When selecting either of these I get a page that says: "Looking
for something? We're sorry. The Web address you entered is not a
functioning page on our site."

To be continued... maybe.  The Kindle forth books are a simple
and attractive option for many, but may not work for me.
