It must be used where appropriate. But in many cases, it would be
desirable to have this feature. Certainly not in all.
This idea came about because I'm currently working on a project and
I have many sub-references into a fixed number of members that use
structs to aggregate common data items. It would simplify many lines
of code and make the overall concept of what's happening much easier
to understand.
In these types of cases, it would probably make debugging easier.
The debugger and editor could be configured to auto-expand the short-
hand reference, so you can access child members as needed.
