Before you decide to fix a bug, you have to consider the costs of fixing
it -- and that includes the risk of introducing new bugs.

My house has a triple light switch panel with one of the switches
installed upside down; to turn off all the lights, you have to
flip two of the switches down and one up.  I presume it could be
fixed with essentially no risk of breaking anything else (something
that's rarely the case with software bugs), but it's not worth the
time and effort to do so.  (I don't remember whether the problem was
there from the beginning.)
