Lots of things negatively affect things I care about without being
theft.

Taking the card number isn't theft.  Using the card number to empty my
account is theft, because I no longer have the money.  It's not that
hard a concept.

I don't condone copyright violation, but neither do I condone use of
inaccurate alarmist language in the strong-copyright mafia's propoganda.
