These pointers are to the same type, and not restrict-qualified. Moreover, the
pointer displacement of both pointers has not strayed from the boundaries of
the same object object.
Since C99, C has had a tool by which you can request this aggressively
optimizing behavior which will break the above program: make either p, q or
both restrict-qualified.
This is why restrict exists: so that the programmer can promise that p and q
are not the same object, and optimization can proceed accordingly.
