Please visit www.wereco.org or www.complimentaryware.info. Good compression is not a myth. Rudimentary math is more than sufficient. Can a drop literally encase and contain an ocean ?  Apparently, for all theoretical and for all practical purposes it always can. I have tons of provable techniques. I would like to attach some code for anyone who would like to download it. It's not that program on the web-site. I was told no-one uses these newsgroups anymore. Why not ?

Most Usenet nodes have switched to using Universal Compression for
news, which was dramatically reduced bandwidth costs. But on the
receiving end, the decompressor turns out to be really slow and, well,
error prone. So a lot of messages are lost, and we only see the few
that slip through in uncompressed or LZ formats.

This a development problem, not a compression theorem problem.

Cool, so you've solved the development problem, then, and you have a
working implementation? Or maybe very soon, perhaps next week?

No, I don't have it. I don't have solution to global warming neither, yet I'm not writing about it here, in comp.compression.
