The chap from CERN I needed to interrogate was, unfortunately, back at CERN 
before you asked your question here. I only heard about the White Rabbit 
from one of the people he was working with who introduced me to the Open 
Hardware web-site (which is hosted by CERN). I haven't looked too closely at 
the website yet but I do know there is some mention of White Rabbit on 
there.
