Precisely. I've tried to give simple examples that would
lead to that understanding, but have failed. (The last
one in my previous message was about three nodes + three
wires in a triangle, but he read it too quickly and replied
for two nodes + two wires).

I agree, but... his statement of his practical
requirements always includes statements about the
solution.

It would be more helpful if he could define /minimal/
"use cases" stating /only/ what he needs to /achieve/
by observations at specified nodes. If he did that he might
be able to understand known techniques and solutions.
