changing the handouts to familys that they did then

Of course it isn't. She hasn't proposed a damned thing

Given the countless number of times I have spoken up against Stalinism
in this very newsgroup your wilful lack of comprehension is now proven
with absolute certainty.

But hey, everyone here immediately recognises this as your frustrated
attempt at changing the subject of debate which your are currently
losing quite badly! Yes, this is despite yet another attack dump against
what you allege communism is in your illiterate confused mind as some
sort of debate winning knock-out punch against me.

Alas this old, tried and failed tactic of yours ain't working no more!
            :-P :-P :-P :-P

Nor is your fully fascist theocratic monoculture in OZ anywhere near
becoming a reality given the will of the majority of voters, despite all
your alcohol drenched wet dreams about it.

All sane human beings reject the idea of a fish&chips aunty led
nightmare government.

Suck it up Petz dear!
Look at the upside: No one would give a damn if you permanently fucked
off from OZ to a fascist theocracy loving alt-right dystopia of you own
choosing. Bye-bye!

I know is that once markets get spooked, prices can fall like an
elevator.

One's children can now say goodbye to the bank of mum and dad.

Our Australian commonwealth has survived numerous recessions,
one major depression, and two world wars.
Doubt if it will survive a Albanese Labor Government.

In the late 1980s (Hawke Labor), property was hammered by soaring
interest rates, recession, tight credit, rising rents, and weak new
construction.

Yes, real estate agents and industry analysts are attributing slow
sales and crashing auction clearance rates to the government's
controversial tax reforms.
The changes, which passed into law following the Federal Budget, have
caused buyer uncertainty, a severe drop in investor activity, and
plummeting property values.
The core issues agents are observing in the market:
The "Tax Ball and Chain": Real estate bodies note that ending the 50%
capital gains tax discount and restricting negative gearing on
established homes have significantly chilled market turnover.
Plummeting Clearances:
Agents report that auction clearance rates in major cities have
dropped to historic lows (some nearing Global Financial Crisis levels)
as investors and buyers flee the market.
Price Drops: Analysts at Prop Track and Cotality have recorded drops
in home values—most notably in Sydney and Melbourne—partially driven
by this sudden shift in buyer sentiment.Industry Perspective and
Resources:
Mixed Opinions on Impact:
While agents cite falling clearance rates and buyer panic, some
economists argue that the policy is designed to cool overheated
property cycles and boost opportunities for first-home buyers.

That has never happened with property prices in Sydney or Melburg

Even more mindless bullshit given that the bank of
mum and dad doesn't depend on property prices

Even sillier than you usually manage and that's saying something

That always happens when interest rates increase
and that was not done by the govt, that was done
by the reserve bank

That hasn't happened. So much for your steaming turd of an AI

Wota stunningly impeccible source

Those buggers are always trying to boost the market

And replacing it with a stupidly complicated way of
calculating real capital gain, and imposing a 30%
tax rate even for those whose income is below the
rate at which they need to pay any income tax at all
and eliminating the averaging over a number of years

And that is clearly what has happened

And you fucked AI doesn't even mention interest rates

Zero, zilch, nort, nada! This is exactly what your economic and
political predictions are worth, Petz dear!

Having said that, it is now becoming a certainty that those usual
high-fling speculators, grifters and scammers, all those profits
hoarding financial ghouls who so far looked upon the property markets
their easy-peasy cash cow now suddenly realising that their good times
may be over thanks to Labor finally putting an stop to their gravy-train
run.

But naturally, before they are leaving for other hunting grounds they
attempt to put on a last ditch nasty scare campaign in hope of delaying
the inevitable.

> One's children can now say goodbye to the bank of mum and dad.

?????
Do you mean they are somehow stopped to inherit anything? By who?

Hey Petz, my wife and I have made sure that ain't going to be the case
for my kids. They will get everything we own! So there you go... :-P

> Our Australian commonwealth has survived numerous recessions,

In fact, it will definitely survive the fish&chips auntie generated
shitstorm, just as it will survive all your inebriated alt-right
theocracy monoculture tantrums in cyberspace.

And your point was, in case you thought to have one???

> Doubt if it will survive a Albanese Labor Government.

Bullshit.
In fact, if Albo would grow a little bit more spine and implemented even
more measures to stop the country's wealth being all sucked up by the
corporate upperclass Labor could make future generations' lives so much
easier!

No, I'm thing Petzl means that the price on Mum and Dad's House (i.e.
the Family Home) has fallen sooooo much that Mum and Dad will not be
able to back the Kids when they want to buy property.

A reasonable thought. Hmmm! Did I just type that??

Being retired my money is in savings
As soon as the Interest rates go above 10% like they did with
treasurer Keating, will be judging when to sink my funds in to 10 year
bank term interest.

All I know is that once markets get spooked, prices can fall like an
elevator.
In the late 1980s (Hawke Labor), property was hammered by soaring
interest rates, recession, tight credit, rising rents, and weak new
construction.

This Alabanese repeat og Keating only started last month!

Housing market slump driven by Labor’s capital gains tax, negative
gearing changes could 'slow down' total economy
Macquarie bank analyst Victor German estimated that new lending flows
for owner occupiers are down between 10 to 20 per cent, while new
investors are down as much as 50 per cent.

Our Australian commonwealth has survived numerous recessions, one
major depression, and two world wars.
Doubt if it will survive under a Albanese Labor Government.

Own my own Home, Car, etc.

One week I get about $800 CommSuper per fortnight, the alternate week I
get about $800 Old Age Pension per fortnight.

So what I had accumulated in *MY* Super over the years (about $150,000)
has become MY Monopoly Money .... well, after I had loaned about $50,000
(total) to Relatives. I'm using it to *PLAY* on the Stock Market myself
.... making about $35,000 over the past three years or so.

No, we should ALL be AUSTRALIANS, first and foremost.

Doesn't matter if our ancestors came out here 20,000 years ago, 200

'We or our ancestors' came here for a better life so 'we' should be

Petz, how many times do you have to be told that Australia is not now
nor ever have been a "monoculture". Stop cramming your head with Xtian
fundy racist propaganda nonsense.

BTW who the fuck do you think is censoring anything???
Pointing out that something is a ridiculous nonsense is NOT censorship!

We already are!

This is some sort of from seppo land imported nonsense to OZ
emphasising where people came from.

Afro-American, Italian-American, Latino-American,Asian-American,
etc...etc...etc.
That is not a good recipe for creating good social cohesion. Just look
at the mess septics find themselves in currently.

So let us not make that same mistake here.

>
> Doesn't matter if our ancestors came out here 20,000 years ago, 200
> years ago or 20 months ago.

We all live in OZ, so of course, we have to find a way to work together
towards maintaining a society that provides the basic creature comfort
to everyone living here regardless of skin melanin content, of
religious/non-religious affiliations and of differing ancestral cultural
heritage.

That concept is what functioning social cohesion means, not any sort of
forced monoculture that has different meaning for each power hungry
loudly screaming extremist group.

Alas:
Social Cohesion and "Monoculture" (™ White Xtian Nationalists) are two
different cattle of fish.

That is the baseline! But of course, we as occupants of this continent
should always remember that we are still all members of the human race
and understand the need for making the whole world a place fit for
dignified human existence for everyone.

 > 'We or our ancestors' came here for a better life so 'we' should be
 > trying to make this life HERE as *GOOD* as it can possibly be! (and
 > forgot about what is now happening 'over there'!!

That is already the case for almost all migrants, otherwise why would
they have gone through all the hardship getting here. It is sadly a
popular pastime for some to spout nonsense calling immigration to
Australia a child's play.
It takes a lot of effort getting through mountains of bureaucratic
hurdles, taking on a significant financial burden paying fees,
dissolving existing household, settling all outstanding obligations,
packing up your belongings, leaving friends and family behind and moving
into the uncertainties of having to start over everything from scratch
at your destination.
I have done that a number of times during my life and can tell you that
this sort of thing takes its a nasty toll on one both physically and
mentally.

And just imagine how much worse this can be for those who are fleeing
from a warzone, escaping persecution and/or outright genocide!

That is exactly why I simply can't stand hearing all the uninformed
rubbish some idiots spew about immigration and immigrants.
They clearly have not experienced it themselves.

So in summary: fuck all who are selling this hate and racism inspired
"monoculture" rhetoric!
They don't belong here! In fact, they don't even belong to the human
race any more.
Hey Elon, fly them all to Mars (sorry little green Martians, hell on
Mars is about to become a reality)!

The speech is quite interesting and well worth viewing.

In particular at the beginning she quotes some very interesting figures
on not only immigration, but poverty in Australia.

This is alone might explain and her rise in political significance.

Trouble truth is not what the lobbyist run media are printing.
Just realigning excerpts in ways to malign her

"Our" Media and Major parties are run by lobbyists

Lobbyists write the laws, parliament sells the laws,
paid lucrative commissions for passing their laws.
That’s the modern legislative business of parliament.
When we talk about paying-off politicians in third-world
countries we call it bribery.
However, when we undertake the same process in parliament.
we call it lobbying.
