Now, this morning, I got off the T -- that's what they call public transit in these parts -- and I was walking through Boston's Dorchester neighborhood, just off busy Morrissey Boulevard, when I heard a squawk over my left shoulder. Strutting around in an adjacent parking lot was a wild turkey. They've become remarkably common in recent years; I've even seen them in downtown Boston. I wonder if any other major metropolitan areas have been infiltraded by turkeys. umar
