The U.S. is struggling, but not because of "woke" slogans -- more because
we've got a wannabe strongman running a personality cult, echoing fascist
playbooks right out of 1930s Europe.
"Defund the police"? Yeah, that was a dumb slogan, but the idea was about
shifting some resources to mental health and social services, not abolishing
cops. Actual police funding increased under Biden.
Crime? Rising in 2020, now falling fast. Immigration? Straining some city
budgets, yes, but "open borders" and "bankrupt" are just campaign buzzwords.
And no -- it's not accurate to say "males in women's sports." Trans women are
women; the number competing at elite levels is vanishingly small, and the NCAA
and others have eligibility rules.
Universities? Some bias and free speech tension, sure, but calling them
indoctrination camps is culture war theater. The big issue is the right wing's
hatred of education. They thrive in ignorance.
So if America is collapsing, it's less from liberal policies and more from a
fascist-leaning oligarch and his enablers who are "soft on crime" when it's
their guy racking up 91 felony counts. Law and order, apparently, only applies
to everyone else.
