Speaking of the lineman's set. I always wanted a list of the 'magic" numbers a lineman had and what all he could do. I especially wanted the number that did a call-back to test my ringer. Yesterday I mistakenly punched in the wrong channel number on the remote for my Comcast powered TV and ended up with a backdoor into Comcast. My guess is that if I could recall those first few digits I punched I could explore, by trial and error, a lot of the inner workings of Comcast simply by adding digits at random. It seems to me that someone who punched in 000 to 999 would find the backdoor.
