Could you set your monitor to use a lower resolution, with the same aspect 
ratio? This seems to work better than using a browser setting.

I like to use a small laptop. The one I have has a default monitor 
resolution of 1920*1080. I find the text too small to read easily, so I 
have changed the resolution to 1600*900.
