I looked into Word, Excel and Powerpoint, and changed the settings for
saving the documents to the local Documents account. That worked.

If you use File Explorer, where is the Documents actually located ?

Do Properties on it. Is it %userprofile%\OneDrive\Documents perhaps ? :-)

This is Windows -- you have to be inquisitive, always.

Hi Paul,

The folder Documents is on the laptop, in C:\users\user name\Documents.
There is also a Documents folder in OneDrive. This is where all files
were stored before.

I think what Paul might be suggesting is Is the Document ACTUALLY stored
at C:\users\user name\Documents .... or is C:\users\user name\Documents
merely a link to the Document on OneDrive??

No. The Document folder is really on the SSD of the laptop, in
C:\users\user name\Documents. But the documents were stored in the
folder Documents in OneDrive. That's what I have changed.
There was no link. It are two folders.
