I do remember a list of check boxes of things to install. I only installed file services, remote desktop (RDP), and lpr/lpd printing. I wanted it as dead minimal as possible. It did start out a bit unstable, but stopping the server manager from starting every time someone logged in fixed that. From the noise about it on web searches, it seems to be a common problem. I put an icon for the server manager on our desktops. Starting it after being fully logged in does not seems to be an issue. I asked the point of sale software vendor if they were the ones that turned off the UAC, but they did not answer me. Server 2025 feels like a souped up version of Windows 11
