Yes, not entirely new.
  Original notification on auto-update for 24H2(from 23H2 and 22H2) in 
consumer version(Pro, Home) in Insider program(Canary build, quite a few 
months ago).
  Most recent notice reiterated/updating Dec 2024 notice in Win11 24H2's 
January 2025 Known Issues.

...same as in the past for Win11 22H2 to 23H2, Win10 21H2 to 22H2(Oct 
2022 notice).

i.e. nothing new, standard, expected practice/deployment.
