All very interesting. I'm good at dooing nothing. I looked today, and I don't know what changed but there were two failed attempts to install it today and yesterday. But no refenced to the several attempts prior to yesterday. Failed for the same reason as before I'm sure, the presence of Explorer Patcher, but this time I noted the error code, 0xc19200208, which is a long standing error code for incompaitbility etc. when trying to install updates. The attempts were referred to only in the Update History and were called Feature Updates, even though they are aiui major updates, only twice a year (H1 and H2). Go figure. I uninstalled Explorer Patcher, only to see if it was responsible for my two row Taskbar, and indeed it went back to 1 row as soon as I uninstalled it. And went back to 2 rows as soon as I reinstalled it. (BTW, there is no dialog or anything when installing. You click on the setup program and it must only take a few seconds to finish, but it doesn't tell you it has. But the taskbar returned to 2 rows (and probably more if I wanted more.) I'm trying to track down why my Alt-tab display is not what I want. I'll start another thread about that, but I paused windows updates during the couple minutes
