Yours could be a quad, like on my HD6450 video card (13 watts).

A quad can be depressed with a simple hollow metal tube.
Whereas dual semicircular pins, some are shaped a bit
so pliers can grip them. But the worst dual pins offer
no feature whatsoever for grip and a hollow tube does not
work on them either (the tube bottoms out on the PCB and
you can't push with it).
Using your drill bit caddy, you hold drill bits up to the
bottom view of the quad pin, and select a drill bit which matches the
mid-point of the pin cross section. Then take an aluminum piece
and drill a hole in it with your selected drill bit. That will
make you a tool to place over the pin and both compress it and
push it backwards out of the hole.
Once it's shoved back a bit, you can take a pin punch
and ease the stump up through the hole. Even a smaller drill
bit from your drill caddy, can serve as a pushing tool.

Thanks to your advice, all four spring loaded plastic corner posts are out without any further damage to the clips (which can now be reused again). One sprung into the air while the other three remained with the aluminum heat sink. https://i.postimg.cc/4d27m0Jy/Clipboard1071.jpg The procedure was first to press on the top pin spring loaded pin. That exposes the bottom barbed clips so a small pliers can grab them. Pliers squeezed the bottom of the pin barbed hinged spreaded out clips. Being careful not to scuff the PC board (which is why pressing on the top helped give clearance for the pliers - plastic pliers would be better). Then a second person pushed down on the bottom of the pin to push it out. When I removed the red/black fan power, the fan assembly came apart. As you said it would be, I still need to remove the three steel screws. Then I should be able to remove the fan from the aluminum heat sink. Only then will I be able to tell if the spindle can be oiled manually.

Well, maybe the second to last step. Two of the three tiny stainless steel Phillips head screws came out. One is destroyed. It won't come out. The screwdriver just spins. If you have to drill it out, then drill it out. 2 screws will probably hold it just fine. Add duct tape, if desired, for added confidence. You're not performing surgery! : ) I live by the motto, "To fix something, you have to be willing to possibly break it." The fan in front was sucking air through a grid making which I expected was the culprit of a high pitched noise. I was surprised that Corsair would sell a case like that at a time (to be fair, All of my components were chosen to be quiet as possible). I spent extra time and money for that. After a few days, I took a hacksaw and a pair of pliers and dealt with the noise directly in no uncertain terms. After that it worked perfectly. As long as the children I don't have don't take the dust screen off and stick their fingers in the opening, then everything should be fine : ) If I would have known, I would have performed the enhancement before I put a computer in the case, as I produced plenty of metal fragments, and even a little bit of blood--I wasn't sure where that came from! But it makes me smile to think that I probably voided my warranty! I hope someone thinks that is an amusing story, it's a true one! : )

You are likely to find a wobbly mess of a fan, with
a ruined sleeve bearing. The manufacturer gets the bad
sleeve fans for a buck a piece, showing their lack of concern.
Since the fan never did move a lot of air, you should be
able to rig a solution to take the place of the fan.
You could make a plenum box and bolt the fan to the box
and fit the box to the extruded sink, to get a flow
over the surface of the sink. But that's a silly waste
of time, when an open fan on an arm is sufficient and
easier to make.
As long as the GPU temp can be monitored with GPU-Z,
you can tell how good you're doing. A card at idle
could be 32C to 37C perhaps. Older cards without
power management features, idle higher than that.
The 8800 GT, I don't think it had power management.
It can't measure its board power.

The Geforce 210 seems to be missing stuff too. With
no PerfCap value shown, we can't tell whether that's
supposed to be 52C at idle or what that is.

There should be no need to intentionally destroy the plastic fasteners. They're designed to be removable and reusable. Simply squeeze the opposing clips/barbs and work the fastener up and out of its mounting hole. When you release the squeezing pressure, the two barbs should spring back to their outward position. You would call it a heatsink, because when it is taken apart
and is just a chunk of extruded aluminum with milled section for
the frameless fan to sit, it's a heatsink.
And yes, you can fit a heatsink, install an 80mm fan next to the
card. The reason you can do that, is the tiny fans are only good
for 2CFM to 7CFM, and to make 7CFM the fan has to spin at 6000RPM.
The 80mm fan draws 12V power from a mobo three pin header.

In the picture, the home made arm has two holes, which align with
the spacing on the PCI slot screws in the computer case. A couple
tiny nylon wraps, fit through the fan holes and hold the fan
rigidly to the arm.
The first arm I made, only had one screw hole and was not
cut as precisely as that one.
