Performance-wise, their FX5G has plenty of horsepower -- but at 220W TDP, 
you're in a whole new world of hurt when it comes to keeping it thermally 
happy.  Meanwhile, Skylake (whose performance I'm sure runs rings around 
the FX5G) runs at 95W TDP.

Then you add in the fact that though AMD's Bulldozer architecture 
allegedly had "8 real cores", there was the recent scandal where we 
discovered that they have 4 FPU's per processor.  

Unless AMD comes up with something amazing, their goose may be 
cooked...possibly roasted over one of their processors.

(Not sure what that means for their GPU business, I use NVidia.)
