Wikipedia says it's the SIXTH largest such crater, though it's the
largest easily visible one.  When I entered the co-ordinates into
google maps, I had to back out three times before the structure became
visible.

The Manicouagan wiki page says "It was once thought to be associated
with the end-Carnian extinction event."

but the Carnian page says "Its boundaries are not characterized by
major extinctions or biotic turnovers, "

So was there or was there not an extinction event at the end of the
Carnian, before we can assign it to the Manicouagan and friends
impacts.
