I don't even have NoScript installed.

I've only encountered the problem in PaleMoon with one specific site.
Killing the PaleMoon process stopped the problem right away. Adding
the offending site to my own rules in uBlock Origin prevented it from
happening again. For that site I use alternatives, like Brave or FF.
