Baez mentioned something about that when she was doing old English 
ballads. Her version of 'Silver Dagger' veers off toward 'Fair and Tender 
Ladies' but Van Ronk wrote the ultimate version:

That's a little more bluegrass.  I know that tune by a lot of names, 'Rose 
Connoly', 'Down in the Willow Gardens', 'Acres of Clams', 'Rosin the Beau' 
and so forth. The Irish even used it for 'The Men of the West'.
