I got into BIOS but only on a reboot did the usb ODD show up as a bootable device. Good enough for starters said I, so I installed Tumbleweed but on reboot back to sqaure one: no boot, no keyboard, no BIOS. The screen logo says 'AUSUS in search of incredible', seconded, for incredible stupidity. After the install I pulled the installation DVD expecting (as I had done on HUNDREDS of previous Tumbleweed installs) to boot from the SATA drive just installed to including grub2 to boot it. Regardless of BIOS when there is ONLY ONE bootable device plugged in, ANYWHERE, shouldn't THAT device just boot? My grandmother could figure that much out and she died 80 years before computers. And there's still the issue of keyboard recognition, a USB keyboard mind you, in an age when ALL keyboards ARE usb!
