We are sposed to be getting FTTN here this year. > > That is what I have been doing, When I saw a ute and concrete truck pull > up I asked them if they were doing anything for NBN, that is how I found > out where the node was going. I managed to keep forgetting to go out and ask them after I had noted the activity there on the weekend with no people there. When a mate of mine showed up to borrow my car ramps and we were discussing it over a beer, he mentioned that they were still there clearing up on the next corner over on the very short 2 house block street that joins the to much longer ones. But when he had left and I went over to ask them, they had gone. That one furthest away does now have what must be a new pit with a couple of quite big covers over it, no poured concrete visible. One of the big covers, must be about 4'x2' each, has TPG cast into the top surface of the cover which surprised me. The other one doesn't have any obvious logo, but still has some stuff cast into the cover. The other one on the corner that is on my street about 150' from my block has a much smaller pit, about the size of the normal pits that at the boundary line of most houses, but this one is actually well out on the corner nature strip itself, unusually. This one does have NBN cast into the cover. No poured concrete visible there either. The pillar is much further away, 250 meters away and nothing close to that, maybe that goes in later or something. Must have a drive around next time I am out and see if I can find them actually doing more work locally and ask them. >>>>> dont know if tpg will take $10 off if you remove phone from the >>>>> included deal >>>> >>>> No they wont, theirs is built in voip. >>>> >>>>> that would make it the same >>>> >>>> Nope, and you are stuck with TPGs fucked 'support' >>>> >>>>>> Its mad to be including any phone calls, makes much >>>>>> more sense to use mynetfone/whirlpool voip and pay >>>>>> just 10c for all calls to landlines untimed instead.
