12GB a month is quite a bit unless you watch a lot of catch up TV and 
youtube.

Doesn't cost a lot more than that mobile plan, $60/month instead of $40
but you would normally need a mobile service of some kind as well.

The slut's plan may be better value than amaysim if you use your mobile
much, but amaysim may be better value of you would only spend say $5
a month on calls and texts and have $100 10GB data packs as required.

You don't normally see any speed difference with the cheaper ADSL
services, and I hardly ever use support myself. I care more about the
cheapest ISPs going broke and being without a service for a while.

Yeah, it can be if you use the mobile phone much
because it's the only phone service you have.

Couple of my mates have gone that route and it works well for them.
