Probably best to check on a dedicated RISC OS 5 machine. I've
checked WAVs play correctly on OHP on my ARMX6 (RISC OS 5.31)
and Raspberry Pi 4 (RISC OS 5.30).

Never seen this.

Verified that correct format is WaveForm.

Mines the same.

Apart from verifying that WAV files work correctly in my OHP version
I'm sorry I can't really help. 

I wonder if it's an issue with Virtual Acorn Adjust 4.39?
