As far as I know you just need software capable of talking to the
printserver.  I just got the lpr & JetDirect drivers from R-Comp and that
was it (there are other lpr solutions out there).  You don't need LanMan98
or sunfish.

If you're going to use the PS3 driver then you'll need a PS3 printer but
that's it.  I'm still using my ageing Kyocera FS-3750 which still shows no
sign of giving up after some 10 years of service.  It's only a PS2 printer
so the standard Acorn driver works just fine.

You will need a way to set the printserver box up though.  My old D-Link
DP-303 came with Windows software for that purpose that has become a bit
iffy on Vista but I still managed the swap from W98 to Vista without too
much hassle.  It can be talked to directly through another protocol the
name of which I've forgotten but I never tried that though it used to be
commonly used by techies.

Give the printserver a fixed address on the network and all will be well
from the Risc Os end.

That's about it as I remember.  It's all a long time ago now - the system
been largely fixed in setup for about 10 years or so, give or take the odd
addition of printer or change of Windows OS.
