'In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth'. "heavens and the earth" don't mean...universe. A fish in the ocean might consider the ocean to be the universe, but it's not the universe. It's just a bubble of water he's in. "heavens and the earth" is not the universe it's just the Space you're in. The Big Bang was not the creation of the universe.. it was just the creation of Space. All the things in it are just contained in that space. The very first word of this statement is..."In..." 'In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth'. "In" is defined: something that is or appears to be enclosed or surrounded by something else. https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&biw=&bih=&q=define+in Further more that means"God" created the heavens and the earth ...within Space. 'enclosed' in Space. "surrounded" by Space.
