findest Du u.a. ein Filter-Design-Tool für IIR-Filter,
mit dem Du Dir auch die Impulsantwort angucken kannst.
Es sieht tatsächlich so aus (hätte ich intuitiv auch nicht
erwartet), dass die Impulsantwort speziell bei hoher Ordnung
und dieser extrem kleinen Bandbreite sich nicht sehr von
einem idealen Impuls unterscheidet. Man sieht ein ganz kleines
bisschen Gezappel, weil es halt bei 5kHz filtert, das aber mit
sehr geringem Pegel. Ist aber nicht unplausibel, weil das Filter
ja praktisch alles durchlässt bis auf diesen extrem schmalen
Bereich zwischen 4999,5Hz und 5000,5Hz.

Es wird ja auch praktisch nichts herausgefiltert.
Du hast ja oben geschrieben, dass Dein Gauss'sches
Wellenpaket eine Bandbreite von ca. 1kHz haben wird.
Der Filter ist dafür designt, in einem Frequenzbereich
von nur 1 Promille dieser Bandbreite etwas wegzufiltern.
Das ist ja auch fast nichts.
Das sähe wahrscheinlich anders aus, wenn Dein Wellenpaket
eine Sekunde lang wäre oder länger.
