Precisely my point somewhere else in this thread.  Perception of colour is probably quite different in all of us, and there's no way we can tell (short of an invention that allows us to see the signal sent to each other's brains) what other people see.  We all know a traffic light is red, but do we all see the same colour for red?  Say you saw green and red the other way round (not red green blindness where they're the same, but swapped over), you'd never know.  You can't describe what red looks like.
