Mine took 75 minutes.  The periods with no evidence of activity were 
long enough that I wondered if I would eventually shut it off. In the 
past, during a prolonged period of no apparent activity during a system 
installation, I got a stethoscope to listen for the hard drive.

If it says seven more minutes and it will in fact be far longer, it 
would be very nice if Apple would tell me, so I won't sit there staring 
at the screen, and so I'll know things are ok.
