I don't typically buy AppleCare for my computers or phones; but I am very careful with my electronics, and I am technically skilled and familiar enough with them that I don't mind doing my own out repairs outside of the default warranty. Even without AppleCare, I've had plenty of occasions where Apple replaced or repaired things that they clearly could have refused. -- E-mail sent to this address may be devoured by my ravenous SPAM filter.
