I use Siri on the Apple remote often. It works well, and extends to all
apps on the Apple TV, which is really helpful when you have several
services that have television shows and movies. The Apple "Remote" iOS
app is also very nice and lets you use your iPhone/iPad as a remote,
which means typing and swiping is much easier, and gives you easy-to-use
interface for iTunes content.

It's slippery and small, which means it often slips out of our hands.
Often that means it falls between the cracks of the couch since that is
where we are seated. To make matters worse, because it is so thin and
slippery, and because the touch surface is always enabled, you often end
up swiping or clicking buttons by accident while digging it out of the
couch, which often does things like resume the movie that is playing, or
worse, rewind it, back out of a menu, etc. It's a horrible design in
terms of the user experience - which is uncommon for Apple. Who knows
what they were thinking.
