Hi badgolferman,

Thank you for understanding I was comparing with other operating systems.

I'm consistent on the Apple newsgroups in that I compare facts about Apple
to each of the other common consumer operating systems, as you are aware.

I happen to have most of those operating systems right in front of me.
Most of the ignorant Apple religious zealots have never used the others.

So they're completely unaware that Apple is the only common consumer
operating system vendor who forces 2FA upon you for the rest of your life.

Obviously I fought that requirement tooth and nail. And I lost.
To be clear, I contacted Apple Support at 800-275-2273 three times.

I spoke with six different people (three "Support Advisors" and three
escalations to "Senor Support Advisors") during those 3 hours of talk.

True to form that most people who own Apple products don't know a thing
about them, each of the "Advisors" initially claimed you don't need 2FA.

Then, in turn, separately, each of the three "Senior Advisors" checked with
Apple engineers and reported that it's impossible to create an Apple ID
with adding 2FA which is then required for life to log into the device.

One even went so far as to agree that if you want privacy from Apple, then
probably I should return the iPads and get something else, instead.

Because this is a FACT.
I wish it was NOT a fact. I really do. But it's a FACT.

You can NOT remove 2FA from any Apple ID created after February of 2023.

The question now, given the finality of that fatal flaw for privacy,
is what is the most private way for 2FA when you're forced to do it?
