Photos.app (Yosemite) crashes when viewing slideshow

I have several Photos libraries and they all crash when attempting to
view a slideshow. I have the same UserID on three machines and the
result is the same *but only* on that userID.

If I move any of the libraries to another account on any machine the
slideshow plays as expected.  Clearly there's something amiss with
that user's Preferences, Application Support, or something.

I tried deleting the entire contents of Library/Preferences, logging out
and back in but to no avail.  I've since restored the Preferences from a
backup.

The crash always seems to have the same cause as captured in the
following (of course the thread is different crash-to-crash as are the
registers except for the contents of r12 to r15 ):
