The problem is best for what? That was the point in my view. At the time, if you were educating you could not go wrong with the BBC, but if you were on a budget and needed it to be a jack of all trades, arguably the Spectrum was the one. Lots of other computers were, in my view better, but did not get supported or were marketed badly.
