Wow, Bill - don't take this the wrong way or anything, but... that is easily the second dumbest thing I've read all day. I think you're man enough for some tough love here. Just because someone (on usenet, at just about the same exact time as you) doesn't cross paths with time, interest, and software... you're taking your ball and going home? People regularly discover and re-discover Apple II-related things years and years after the fact and are fascinated and invigorated by them. Teh interwebz enables this in fantastic fashion. I have no mental capacity for graphics, so everything in this realm goes "whoosh" over my head. I don't actually care one whit about your palettes. But someone else might... a week, a year, a decade from now. Just sayin'. Do what you love. Kindred spirits will emerge. Eventually.
