Most of the problems with Linux are systemic.  All the source in the
world doesn't make fixing it easy, practical or reasonable.  Especially
when there are (and have always been!) functional replacements without
all the mistakes.  Too bad the IT industry is so far in the crapper that
the "experts" seem unable to even see this. (And yes, after 23 years in
academia I know exactly where the problem lies and originated!!)
